Booking Terms and Conditions
Course Prices / Fees:
Course prices on this web site are generally listed on a “per single” course delegate basis and will normally include all training fees, examination fees, use of equipment as appropriate and all course materials.
The course fee does not normally include the cost of any additional study materials, other than those listed within the additional other information “tabs”.
All standard course prices shown on the Total Comms Training web site are correct at time of publishing and are not normally subject to any additional discounting. Total Comms Training reserves the right to post any immediate price increases directly onto the web site. Please note that VAT at the prevailing rate is applied to all courses fees.
Any course that is offered as part of our special offer’s campaigns, will still be subject to these standard terms and conditions.
Examination resit fees are offered and are subject to examination scheduling –
Standard examination resit fees, per resit, per candidate is £95.00 plus vat.
Disclaimer:
Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate delegates on the booked and chosen date at our facilities, Total Comms Training reserves the right to offer delegates alternative dates or alternative training facilities if this is deemed appropriate.
Website Reservations and confirmations:
Total Comms Training has a strict policy of not reserving course places. All course bookings made via the website are normally paid for immediately at the time of booking via the secure payment gateway. Website bookings are normally acknowledged via e mail. All website bookings will be invoiced and receipted. We strongly recommend that you read the booking conditions carefully as this forms your contract with Total Comms Training.
Payments / Deposits:
PAY IN FULL:
For all non-account customers, all payments must be made in full by credit/debit card through our secure booking facility on this web site.
You will normally be issued with a sales receipt/proforma invoice either prior to the start date of the course or at the beginning of your course.
Please note that Total Comms Training will refuse a delegate admission onto a course in the event of a failure to pay the full course fees prior to the start of the course.
Please note that for account customers, special conditions apply and are strictly by prior arrangement.
Bookings made via email booking form Bacs payments are due within 5 days of submitting the booking form.
No course booking is secure without full payment.
TRAIN NOW, PAY LATER DEPOSITS:
These are only available for direct telephone bookings.
Total Comms Training are able to offer a Train Now, Pay Later deposit scheme via Klarna whereby, you will pay the course fees spread evenly over a 3 month period.
You will be sent payment links which will be via your invoice to the bookers email address provided. You have the option to clear your balance in full at any time.
Total Comms Training will NOT submit any exam results or issue Certificates until the full course final payment has been settled. E-certificates will generally be available within 30 days from the date your balance is settled.
Train Now, Pay Later deposit scheme is only available for direct booking via the telephone.
Special Offer Prices:
We reserve the right to advertise courses at a discounted rate from time to time. The Special Offer Prices applies to the dates shown only. We reserve the right to withdraw our Special Offer Price(s) at anytime.
Courses must be paid in full at time of booking, whether on the website or telephone to qualify for a Special Offer Price.
Special Offer Prices cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers and are non-transferable.
International Payment:
All overseas delegates are expected to make their payments in GPB sterling by credit card/debit card/swift/Iban.
Cancellations:
In the event of cancellation* by a delegate or by a company, cancellation fees will be due as set out below:
1 to 14 working days prior to course commencement -100% of the course fee
16 to 28 working days prior to course commencement – 50% of course fee
Total Comms Training reserves the right to cancel a course for any reason prior to the start of the course. In the event of cancellation by the Total Comms Training, delegates will be notified as soon as is practicably possible – alternative dates will be offered however, if this is not possible to fulfil due to delegate work commitments or some other reason, a slight reduction in the course duration may be offered.
Important information
In certain extenuating circumstances, for example, a bereavement, car accident or a family member who is ill and/or requires care, then partial or full refunds of fees may be offered. Please note that refunds will be subject to an admin fee if there are no other alternative arrangements that are suitable.
Delegate Responsibilities:
Once a delegate has booked and fully paid for a course or a course of study or an assignment-based course, or an assessment, this is defined as the individual, delegate or company to have fully accepted and entered into a booking contract. Delegates that have arrived, and are in full attendance on the course are deemed to be fully participating in the course; If a delegate thence leaves the course early, or prematurely, regardless of the reasons given there will be no refunds; this is defined as a delegate leaving a course, without any coercion, suggestion and is entirely of the delegate’s own volition.
Transfers:
If a customer wishes to transfer either a public course booking to another date or an on-site training course to another date then the following will apply:
More than 28 days prior to start date = No Charge
28 to 14 working days prior to start date = £150 transfer fee
Less than 14 working days prior to start date = £170 additional enrolment fee
Course Materials and Copyright:
Total Comms Training asserts its express legal right in respect of the content of the interpretation of all syllabus’s; any courses derived from such syllabus’s and all associated course material and instructional training or tutorials. All materials, handouts etc, are to be only used as part of the training and instructions given to delegates whilst in attendance. By paying for and attending a course and pay for a course, all course delegates agree to acknowledge that all rights in the content of courses and all course materials shall be owned by Total Comms Training and that delegates will not obtain any rights whatsoever in such content or materials. Any written materials, be they manuals, handouts and/or technical resources, are owned by Total Comms Training and are subject to copy write.
Confidentiality:
By agreeing to attend a course delegates agree to keep confidential any information that may arise from either other delegates or any technical information pertaining to any practical assessments carried out.
Rights of Third Parties:
This agreement does not create or infer any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 which are enforceable by any person who is not a party to the agreement.
Visa requirements for Non UK course delegates.
All non-UK delegates who wish to attend a Total Comms Training course must obtain the appropriate visa before entering the UK: more information concerning UK visa’s is available by visiting the UK’s Visa and Immigration website.
Photo Identification Requirements:
All delegates undertaking any examination with Total Comms Training will be asked to produce photo id, prior to commencement of any examination – these are conditions set by JCQ who are responsible for the correct conduct of examinations
Delegate responsibilities and behaviour:
Total Comms Training will not be liable for any travel expenses, or any other expenses incurred by delegates attending courses with Total Comms Training.
Total Comms Training will not be held responsible for delegate’s personal effects whilst in attendance on a course with Total Comms Training.
Please note: there is some car parking adjacent/close to the training centre, however, the car parking spaces adjoining the training centre are subject to allocation to other users – please contact us for further clarification.
Upon booking a course, delegates & learners accept our terms and conditions. Delegates are asked to ensure that they have the capability and the knowledge to undertake the course of study; certain courses will require delegates to have technical knowledge. Certain courses are assignment based, and delegates are expected to fully understand the requirements of writing and submitting assignments. Assessments only (EWA) are assessments only, and as such there is no training offered, unless requested which will incur an extra training fee. If a delegate elects voluntarily to have minimal tutoring, no supervision or no significant contact with Total Comms Training, we cannot be held responsible for any outcomes. Our indemnity is limited to accredited course syllabuses. Delegates must engage at a minimum standard of delegate engagement and appropriate behaviours.
By agreeing to attend a course, all delegates must always comply with relevant Total Comms Training health and safety policies and procedures during the course. Where any delegate does not comply with these health and safety procedures, that delegate will be asked to leave the course immediately with no refund of course fees.
Any delegate that is deemed to be disruptive, unruly, aggressive, misbehaving, or acting in a way that could or would be regarded as a distraction or an impediment to either the trainer or to other course delegates or behaves in a way that is deemed to be inappropriate conduct, will be asked to leave the course immediately with no refund of course fees.
Other delegate responsibilities:
If a delegate engages with any form of bribery, intimidation or threatens with an either by suggestion or by a deliberate act of violence against the trainer, members of staff or other delegates will result in the immediate expulsion of that delegate from the course – in these extreme circumstances, we reserve the right to bar that person from attending any further courses with Total Comms Training and in addition this may result in the police or the engagement of other authorities.
Any delegate that is under the influence of drink or drugs will be asked to leave the course immediately with no refund of course fees.
Delegates that book courses that are a mix of attendance/assignments/trainer led course etc, will be expected to provide assignment materials within a 3 month period of course attendance or commencement/engagement date. Delegates that either request no supervision or limited amounts of supervision will accept that this at their own risk – we strongly recommended either a classroom attendance/hybrid attendance.
Any delegate not complying with Total Comms Training’s equal opportunities policy will be asked to leave the course immediately with no refund of course fees.
All delegates attending any course with Total Comms Training agree to be bound by these specific terms.
While you can be assured that all training courses provided by Total Comms Training are covered by appropriate insurance protection, all delegates and any delegates that are sent by their respective companies should note that Total Comms Training will not be liable for loss or damage caused by their delegate(s) to any property or equipment, save that owned by Total Comms Training. We do recommend that any delegates or companies that are sending delegates to receive training at one of our training centres and intend to bring their own equipment, that they should ensure that they have appropriate insurance cover in place.
